EXPLOSHIFT:Drive to Survive- Devlog – Steering Toward the Next Demo


Hi everyone! After taking part in the Feedback Quest Game Jam, I received a lot of valuable feedback on EXPLOSHIFT: Drive to Survive. Although I’m currently focused on a side project, I’ll be returning to EXPLOSHIFT next month to begin refining the game based on that input.

A new demo will be released in parallel with development next month, incorporating many of the suggestions I received. The game will feature smoother and more responsive vehicle controls, full controller support (which was missing in the current demo), and a short segment of the story. It will also include more levels, covering around 20% of the full game. Visually, the game will be slightly improved, but it won’t aim for the high graphical fidelity seen in modern titles. EXPLOSHIFT:Drive to Survive will stay true to its current visual style, both in this demo and future versions.

Additionally, I’ll be offering small support for streamers who want to showcase the game. Even though EXPLOSHIFT uses only CC0-licensed music, I’ll be adding optional music credits for those who wish to highlight the soundtrack during their streams or videos.
